Players are assigned to teams on the according age division and gender according to rules outlined in the SAY Soccer Rule Book (refer to pages 13-17). This document basically outlines the process for a "random" draw of players to be assigned to teams within an age division so that an equal number of younger (SAY uses two year age divisions) and older players are assigned to each team. MRA Soccer uses a computer program that selects players from the registration database and assigns them to teams based on SAY Soccer Rules and guidelines.

It is always permissible for siblings to play on the same team.

A Coaches son(s) or daughter(s) may always play on the same team as they are coaching (as long as they meet the age and gender requirements).

Players may also "play up" in the next highest age group with permission of the MRA Registrar but written permission must be obtained from the Cincinnati Hills SAY Soccer Board of Directors for any child to "play down" or play in the next lowest age division.
